KWV named one of ‘World’s Most Admired Wine Brands’

KWV has been recognised as one of the ‘World’s Top 50 Most Admired Wine Brands’ at Drinks International’s annual awards ceremony for the fourth consecutive year. It is the only South African brand to attain this global accolade.

Over 200 of the world’s top masters of wine, sommeliers, educators and journalists took part in the admiration poll as part of the awards, which judges wine brands from across the world from all regions, styles and qualities against each other.

The admiration poll votes were based on the following criteria:
The wine should be of consistent or improving quality
It should reflect its region or country of origin
It should respond to the needs and tastes of its target audience
It should be well marketed and packaged and it should have strong appeal to a wide demographic.

Says De Bruyn Steenkamp, Global Sales & Marketing Director for KWV, "This is an outstanding achievement in our eyes. Being ranked as one of Drinks International's World's Top 50 Most Admired Brands for the fourth consecutive year is a great achievement and really speaks to the journey the company has been on over the past 5 years."
